  • Is there an easy way to create a file to migrate shortcuts from Office Shortcut bar to the Windows Quick Launch Toolbar?

  • Greetings, catsfan03! There IS a really quick and easy way to do this. Open a Windows Explorer (not IE) window (right-click on "Start", select "Explore") navigate to the Shortcut Bar folder C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeShortcut BarOffice ** You may need to do a search to find the right folder, if this isn't the exact path name ** Open a second Windows Explorer window, and navigate to C:Documents and SettingsuserApplication DataMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch where "user" is your username Again, you may need to do a search on "Quick Launch" to find the exact path name for the folder. In the Office Shortcut Bar folder, highlight all of the shortcuts you wish to copy, then right-click on one of the highlighted items and select "Copy". Then drag the group into the Quick Launch folder in the other Explorer Window and drop the items there. You should be all set! (You can highlight more than one item in a folder by clicking on the first item, then holding down and clicking on the others you wish to select.) • Oops! Where it says "Then drag the group into the Quick Launch folder" it should instead say "Then right-click inside the Quick Launch folder and select "Paste" Regards, aceresearcher

  • I was thinking more quickly...script like.

  • Hi, catsfan03. Are you needing to do this on more than one computer? The reason I ask is because this procedure takes anywhere from a few seconds to a minute, depending on how experienced you are at Windows, so I'm trying to determine why a script would be needed. If there's a special reason for a script, it would help me to see if something exists to meet your needs. Regards, aceresearcher
