  • So, I'm ready to get my license. I've had my permit for 6 months, and have taken all 3 driving lessons. But I have a few questions...

What do I need to bring to DVM when I go to take my driving test? Just my permit, or do I need the certificates that I had to show for my permit?

Do you have to pay a fee for your test? How much is it?

Any tips on the actual test? Something I should practice?

Btw-I live in California. (I looked at the DMV website, but couldn't find the answers to these questions)

    Thanks in advance!

  • Based on my bad experience, I hope it helps you...make sure you have your permit, your slip/pink slip that you got from your Health & Safety class. Also, if you wear glasses, make sure you bring that too. If you don't have glasses and think you "might" need it, I suggest you get a pair of glasses, just to be on the safe side.

Back then when I was getting my license, it took me weeks just to get everything I needed. Those bad workers (depends though) NEVER tell you what you needed until you are actually there.
    Good luck!

  • Birth Certificate and proof of who you are.
Yes you do but if differs for each state so call your local DMV & ask
Yes you should practice if you plan on passing the test to get your Driver's License
