because its so big and the world is a sphere. if it were flat, it would just be in one space the whole time

i think its because of some angle created from the place u r in and the place u r ging to...the substantial angle it is called...if u r going from place A to place B then the angle created,angle AmoonB IS THE SUBSTANTIAL ANGLE...since the moon is so far away,the angle created is very small,and our eye cant really be sure of it....and the distance we travel is no where compared to the distance from earth to the moon

Because it's a long way away. You'd have to move about a nautical mile away from it to notice any shift in position.

Because of the great distance between you and the moon (on average around 250,000 miles), you will not notice any sort of change in angle unless you drive very far. I read somewhere it's around a couple nautical miles, but I'm not certain.
