my daughter is 1 week old and I asked the doctor if I could take singulair and advair diskus and breastfeed and he said yes, I am just afraid to take it. Is anyone else on these medicatons and are breastfeeding.

No studies have been done on Singulair and breastfeeding, so it's unclear if the drug can be passed to the nursing infant. However, because potentially serious side effects are possible, the manufacturer recommends that it be used with caution in breastfeeding women. If you are taking Singulair and breastfeeding is something you are considering, discuss the pros and cons with your healthcare provider.

yes..I am on both and nursing my one month old

most medications are safe while breastfeeding- here is a list. even if it's not on this list it is still most likely safe- this doesn't have every drug on it
