my female 7 month old dog is had diarrhea this morning and shes been throwing up from yesterday night total six times. She throw up last night so i didn't give her dinner last night. this morning she had diarrhea two times and throw up 5 times more...i gave her breakfast this morning and she didn't even looked at it. the diarrhea color is bit mustard color and she throw up like yellowish color with some foam..i called my doctor and she said just watch out for her until tonight and if she still doesn't feel good till next morning she said i need to check in with her...do u think my puppy be okay? im so worried i don't know what to do!! shes keep sleeping right now..should i just buy some medicine from petsmart and feed her?medications from petsmart will NOT help her!!!!!! bring her to the vet ASAP!! your dog could DIE from this!Your 7 month old dog is in trouble. Although you want a definite answer from this site, there isn't one. Puppies tend to get into things they shouldn't and sometimes, if eaten, it can be deadly. Also, if your pup has not had her shots, she can contact parvo. There isn't anyone on this site that can tell why your dog has diarrhea and vomiting, we can only speculate. You must bring your pup to the vet to see what is making her sick. Diarrhea and vomiting are serious symptoms and if you wait too long your puppy can die. I breed Labradors and I know how dangerous these symptoms are, go to the vet immediately.this is why people shouldn't keep dogs .
They are disgusting and make your house smell like a zoo.
You don't realize that your house smells so nasty, but other people notice it. You have gotten so accustomed to the stench, you think it's normal.
Get rid of that animal and live like a civilized human being. You can't be civilized when you sleep with dogs and your carpet is covered with crap, puke, and fleas. And god knows what else.feed her plain rice with cut up chicken on hamburger meat on it. hope she feels better. did she eat something bad??? maybe the vet would be the next option.Hopefully she doesn't have parvo. You'll need to get her tested asap.
My puppy got sick from a heartworm pill and threw up for 3 days. I got this advice from a friend and it worked.
Boil some ground beef and make some white rice. Mix the ground beef w/ the rice and give her one spoonful. Wait an hour, if she can hold that down, give her 2 spoonfuls and wait another hour. Then 3 spoonfuls and hour later.
You boil the ground beef, so you don't give her any of the grease. When I made this, I used .40 lb (almost a 1/2 lb) of meat, & 1 cup of white rice and mixed it in a bowl. Put the rest in the refrigerator and warm it up before you give it to her.
Good luck.Sounds like your puppy got into something that she shoudn't have. Don't call your doctor, call a vet. A puppy that has bad diarrhea and is throwing up needs alot of water to replace what has been lost.
Is she drinking any water? If not you need to take her to the vet ASAP. But if she is drinking water, you can make an appoiment to see a vet.
Eather way, be on the safe side see a vet
EDIT to pozin...your heart must be one big black holewell get her to the vet.did u maybe feed it more than it was suppose to.i did that to my dog when he was younger and he threw up but no dieara.but anyway call the vetMedications from Petsmart will not help her get better. When an animal is sick, has fleas or worms, over the counters or off the shelves won't cut it. It takes a vet. If you had strep throat, could you just buy Dayquil & be cured. No, of course not. It sounds like she got into something bad, I don't think you should wait unless she's drinking water. However, if she happens to get worse & the vets office is closed, you'll have to spend a lot more money taking her to an emergency vet. I'd deal with the problem at hand now, not base it on the chance that she COULD get better. This sounds like parvo, or maybe she got into something toxic....get her to a vet!Just wait it out and see how she is in the morning, if she gets worse, I would get her in right away. I wouldn't get anything from petsmart until I knew the diagnosis. If you can, get her to drink water so she doesn't become dehydrated. Do what the vet said.
If you are concerned, call them again.Do H is correct. The fact that she is trying to get rid of it from both ends is a good thing. Sounds like she may have eaten a plant of some sort. Don't go to Pet smart. Call the vet right away and describe the symptoms. They will tell you whether or not you need to bring her in or if there is a home remedy. Don't waste any time but don't panic. I have a Great Dane and a Schnoodle. When they have had probs I have given them rice or pumpkin so the vet may give you a simple solution also. Let us know how she is.Must have eaten something wrong. Bring her to the vet. Or if you have, give her cooked rice..i have been a vet tech for ten years .i realize i am not a vet. if this were my puppy i would take it to my vet as soon as possible .parvo is an extremely violent virus .a puppy that young with the sympyoms yours has should have been tested as soon as possible your vet should know this .the test is easy and simple and could rule out parvo in less than 15 min .it will help relive your worry or let you know what you need to do next.if your vet is not helpful or doesnt stock these test find another vet!she probably ate something that she shouldn't have. The fact that stuff is coming out of both ends is a good sign, that means she didn't eat something that blocked her intestines.
We gave our dog some turkey scraps, big mistake - she had a similar problem for a couple days after. Then it passed. She's also gotten a hold of whole sticks of butter, that's a fun gooey mess.
yes stop feeding her that brand#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
