My neighbor wont leave me alone!?

  • Ok I need your help we got new neighbors and they have alittle girl who is in 1st grade, well she wont leave me alone! When I get off the bus she always talks to me non-stop, she comes in my yard with her friends and take our frogs at night, she asked me one day if she could come in my house to "check it out", she comes in my house at random times,today when I was walking my dogs she followed me, I am starting basketball and I stay till 4 for practice and she asked my sister "WHY ISNT CARA RIDING THE BUS ANYMORE!?" How do I get her to be less "stalkery" ?


  • Well, when it is a bad time, just tell her straight up...Welll, i have to go, or its not a good time, or I'm busy.....be nice, but be firm....good luck

    the most effective way is to yell at it or make it cry

  • If she is in 1st grade, cut her a little slack. It's common for little kids to admire older kids, you should take it as a compliment. I understand that it is probably annoying but you have to be careful in how you treat her. After all, she is your neighbor. I would talk to her mom and tell her how you feel and see if maybe she can redirect her child or give you insight on what to do. If this doesn't help, then you should be polite and firm and just tell her that you are older, have things to do, and do not always have the time to spend with her. You should also mention that it is not polite for her to invite herself over and walk into your house without permission.

    would you know if she has a bigger sister? maybe she looks at you as one.
    i know she must be pesky but look at it this way --she's looking up at you. she just wants to know more about you because she idolizes you. she likes you ok!
    i suggest you make friends with her. when you've known her better, you'll probably realize she's not the weirdo she seems to be.
