Why did my 94 Honda Integra loose reverse? and is it hard to fix? Its an automatic.?

Bought a car and got home and realized that it had no reverse and the engine makes a funny noise when i take my foot off the accelerator while traveling above 80km in drive. all other gears work fine.

i paid 2hundred for the car and its in mint condition other than the reverse not working want to know what caused that to happen? and ways to fix it?

Transmission. same thing just happened to my car about 3 weeks ago. cost me 2000 bucks for a completely rebuilt transmission.

Sounds like your mint condition car needs a transmission, figure around 2 grand.
