  • It's of a libra sign so it's kind of small, about two inches in length and width. So I was wondering if this would matter to possible employers? Other than that I have no other tattoos or piercings (besides my ears). Other than that how big a deal is it?

  • you really never know. I suggest covering it for the interview until you know wether or not the company is conservative and will expect all tattoos to be covered. You don't want them to think off the bat that you're going to have tattoos showing if they're against it. I hope that made sense lol. Good luck!

  • While on an interview it would be wise to hide it. It does matter. If you go in with the tattoo showing, for some reason, they do flip and will think you not professional. (Even though that a bunch of horsehockey these days, it still counts.)
I'd say, because it's silly, hide the thing with a watch or tasteful bracelet. When/If they hire you, after the first three months are up, slowly start letting it show. In other words, you need to establish yourself b/f you show your tattoo.

  • OOO.. i am libra too. nice! it depends what kinda job you are getting. normally, its not a good idea to show those tattoo. i would cover it, especially for the job interview or the 1st day of work.

  • Acutally you should.
yet it is more obvious to cover it up unless you wear long sleave.
Do think for your image if you are the employer.

  • it depends on the job your going for... if it's that small, you could probably wear a watch to cover it, and if they still see it, they'll know that you were being discreet and trying to look professional. i had a friend in middle school who's mom always covered hers when she came into school because she didn't want to influence the kids into having them.

  • It's not a huge deal at most companies - many people have tats now. However, I'd still cover it for an interview.

    Good luck!

  • I know we should not judge others by their appearance, including tattoos, but we do. So yeah, cover it up for the interview UNLESS you are interviewing for a bartender, receptionist at a tattoo parlor or DJ.

  • Cover it up. I guess it depends on what kind of job you are interviewing for. If it's one that has you dealing with the public, cover it up at least for the interview. If it's for an IT job or something where you don't see the public, it's less important, but if you are not sure, put some makeup on it, at least until you land the job. Why risk finding out that it bothered the fellow interviewing you?
